Berry Jordan has worked across the environment, agriculture and renewable energy sectors for more than 30 years, including the past 11 years in onshore wind. She advises and supports Vattenfall and local communities on community benefit, shared ownership and governance. Her work spans the UK and is shaped by Vattenfall’s European roots and its commitment to putting people at the heart of the conversation.

Berry believes in community-led conversations that help people find common ground. She has extensive experience of designing engagement, governance and monitoring processes that support communities to shape community benefit programmes around their shared priorities.

Berry grew up in a commune set up as a co-operative, giving her an unusual start in life and an early insight into community ideals. Previously opposed to wind development, her experience of having a wind farm built opposite her house and how much good it can do has changed that view. This gives her a unique perspective that enables her to understand the communities she works with.
